Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Scowty (“Scowty,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information you provide, such as your name, email address, and business details.
  • Content you provide about your business (for example, your website URL, services, location, and brand information) so we can produce your audits, content, and reports.
  • Payment information, which is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage information, such as how you interact with the Service, collected to operate and improve it.
  • Google account data you choose to connect, as described below.

Google user data (Search Console & Analytics)

If you choose to connect your Google account to Scowty, we request only the permissions necessary to provide the features you choose to use. Scowty accesses Google Search Console and Google Analytics data solely to generate SEO audits, reporting, performance dashboards, AI search visibility reports, and related analytics requested by you.

Scowty accesses only the Google data necessary to provide these services, including search queries, impressions, clicks, click-through rate (CTR), average position, indexed pages, website traffic metrics, conversions, and related reporting information. Scowty does not modify your Google Search Console or Google Analytics properties.

Scowty’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI and machine learning

Google user data is never sold, shared for advertising purposes, or used to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Any AI processing performed on your behalf is solely to generate the reports, recommendations, or content you request as part of the Service.

Third-party AI providers

When AI providers are used to generate reports or content, Scowty transmits only the minimum information reasonably necessary to produce the requested output. Google user data is shared only when required to provide the specific Service requested by you, and never for independent use by the AI provider.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; to generate your audits, content, and reports; to process payments and manage subscriptions; to communicate with you; and to protect the security and integrity of the Service.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service — for example, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), hosting and database infrastructure (Vercel, Neon), and the AI providers that generate content and analysis. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

OAuth tokens, data retention & security

OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted before storage and are used solely to access the Google data you have authorized. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest where commercially reasonable. Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need and protected through appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.

Revoking access

You may revoke Scowty’s access to your Google account at any time by disconnecting your account within the Service or by removing Scowty’s permissions through your Google Account security settings.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal information by contacting us. Unless a longer retention period is required by law, customer information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period following account closure. The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 18.

Cookies and analytics

Scowty uses cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate the Service, maintain user sessions, improve performance, and analyze usage. You may control certain cookies through your browser settings, although disabling them may affect functionality.

Business transfers

If Scowty is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy laws.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
